About Total B Construction, Loft Conversion Builders for Daventry
A building company whose work in schools has taught it to build carefully around the people living and working nearby, now converting lofts in Daventry.
Who we are
Total B Construction is the trading name of Total B Constructions Ltd, registered at Companies House on 19 October 2018 (company number 11633244) for the construction of homes and commercial buildings.
Much of our work is in education: new classroom buildings, modular additions, refurbishments and outdoor works at schools and nurseries that stay open while we build. Alongside that we take on residential projects, from new-build houses to complete interior fit-outs, and this website is for the loft conversions and garage conversions we carry out for homes in Daventry and West Northamptonshire.
What school sites taught us about working in your home
On a school job, the building stays in use the whole time. Pupils, staff and parents move around the site every day, so the work is planned around them: where materials come in, which areas are closed off, and what happens in which order.
A loft conversion is the same problem on a smaller scale. You are still living in the house while the roof is opened up above you.

The Judd School, Tonbridge
A new timber-clad sixth form building, built on an occupied school site. It received a Tonbridge Civic Society Design Award in 2023.

A design award for the Judd School sixth form building
The new sixth form building at The Judd School in Tonbridge, one of our education projects, received a Tonbridge Civic Society Design Award in 2023. It is a timber-clad, single-storey building with a curved glazed corner, built while the rest of the school carried on around it.
The same attention to how a building is put together goes into the lofts we convert.
